ERC

The Dryden Educator Resource Center (ERC), located at 45108 N. 3rd Street East in Lancaster, offers free teacher workshops.

The Center is open during the week and assists educators by providing NASA tools to teach students math and science.

A Nov. 17 workshop called "Tools of the Aeronautics Trade" looks at NASA aircraft as tools to teach basic aerodynamics. The hands-on workshop activities show ways to integrate math and science. For example, teachers will learn how to design and fly a styrofoam glider aircraft, which they can make with their students.

The Center also is open on the third Saturday of each month.

A registration form must be filled out in advance to participate in the workshops. For more information, call the ERC at (661) 948-7347.
