Dryden honors Native American culture, tradition

Students from three elementary schools and one middle school came to share Native American Awareness Month activities at Dryden. Students came from the Bishop, Calif., area from Big Pine Elementary School, Elm and Pine Street schools and Home Street Middle School Nov. 19 to share their culture and learn about Dryden. Entertainment included Michael Edmonds and his son, Derek Edmonds. The two men form Dahnoshay. They sang Native American traditional songs from their tribes - the Wichita/Caddo Tribe that originated in Oklahoma.
