Regarded as having participated in more aviation history than any other single aircraft, NASA's famous B-52B mothership aircraft was retired on Dec. 17, 2004. A joint NASA and U.S. Air Force Flight Test Center ceremony marked the occasion, hosted at NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center on Edwards Air Force Base, Calif.
