Description: Two NASA Dryden F/A-18's land on the Edwards Air Force Base runway after completion of an Autonomous Formation Flight (AFF) mission. The goal of the AFF project is to demonstrate sustained 10 percent fuel savings by the trailing aircraft during cruise flight. Data suggests savings as high as 15 percent are achievable.
