Description  

Jet Propulsion Laboratory technicians pour liquid nitrogen into a calibration vessel that is then lifted into position next to JPL's HAMSR sensor aboard NASA Global Hawk no. 872. Next, the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center's HiWRAP sensor is tested after installation on the aircraft. This is followed by additional HAMSR installation footage. The Global Hawk, operated by NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center, is seen taking off from a runway at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., on a mission to study hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico and the eastern Atlantic Ocean.Total time: 67 seconds
