EM-0103-01 April 6, 2010 Checkout of NASA Dryden's F-18 Full-scale Advanced Systems Testbed for NASA's Integrated Resilient Aircraft Controls Project.

NASA Dryden's F-18 #853, piloted by NASA Dryden research pilot Nils Larson, flies a Research Flight Control System checkout flight recently for NASA's Integrated Resilient Aircraft Controls (IRAC) project. The flight demonstrated the functionality of the RFCS. This research will benefit aviation safety by creating technology that could help damaged aircraft to fly and land safely.
