| Description | The joint U.S. Air Force/NASA F-16D Automatic Collision Avoidance Technology, or ACAT project phase led by NASA Dryden has ended successfully with the completion of the effort's Automatic Ground Collision Avoidance System (Auto GCAS) testing. The project is now transitioning over to the Air Force Flight test Center's 416th Flight Test Squadron. There, the Auto GCAS software begins production testing with an anticipated fielding date of 2014. |
