This project is under ITAR control.

Structural dynamics systems are currently limited by the intense calculations necessary and so by necessity are normally non-real-time applications where a simulation is begun and the results are available some time later. NASA is interesting in developing a sophisticated structural dynamics analysis tool that would render real-time data available to the user. This system would be ideal for examining the properties of a flexible-wing structure as used in Helios.
