NASA, along with other organizations, are looking for a high performance computer simulation that can accurately model, monitor, assimilate data, and predict future environmental states. Ideally, NASA would like to use these simulations to make predictions about changes that need to be made in society to bring about substantial changes in our maintenance of Earth. Significant damage has been and continues to be done to the environment. Simulations to evaluate change models are necessary to determine the most productive path to take in making political, scientific, and social changes.
